Selfie Gone Wrong: Pune Girl Rescued After 150-Foot Gorge Plunge
In a startling incident at Borne Ghat in Maharashtra’s Satara district, a young girl fell into a 150-foot-deep gorge while attempting to take photographs and selfies.
A team of adventurers and mountaineers promptly launched a rescue operation and successfully saved the girl. She was part of an eight-member trekking group from Pune, comprising both boys and girls.
The group had originally planned to visit the Thoseghar waterfalls. However, due to prohibitions caused by heavy rainfall, they decided to explore Borne Ghat instead.
The rescue mission was spearheaded by HomeGuard Abhijeet Mandave, who played a crucial role in ensuring the girl’s safety.
This incident follows closely on the heels of a tragic event last month when travel influencer Aanvi Kamdar, aged 26, fell to her death from a height of over 300 feet while filming a video at Kumbhe waterfalls near Raigad in Maharashtra.
